W3C Web design standards

The W3C consortium was formed nearly 10 years agoFor nearly 10 years ago with the aim to set a standard for HTML web design coding.

The idea was to establish a kind of "lowest common denominator" within HTML, or in other words: to find a universal code that could be read by all browsers.

There has been several versions since the beginning, and here are some of them, HTML 2.0, HTML 4.0, HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0, CSS 1.0

The importance of the W3C web design validation

It is not just important, but vital how your web design looks in the various browsers, you would like it to be displayed right?

What is even more important is, if the customer/visitor cannot see your wedsite correctly or if they can't see it at all. What will this about you as a company, it sure doesn't say that you are a professionel company. Potential customers is what you will lose if you don't get your website validated.
